Sing to the Mountain

In 2009 I had three back-to-back dreams in one night about an exploding mountain. The dreams were so vivid that I still remember the details, but for some reason, I never thought of it as a volcano because the word mountain just seemed to fit.   The seven-mountain teaching was still relatively new, and I didn’t make the connection that this exploding mountain could represent one of the seven mountains at the time.   2009 Dream In the dream, a friend and I were trying to get away from an exploding mountain; firebombs and massive pieces of earth were landing all around us. Our immediate world was being destroyed from the explosion while we drove through falling debris, floods, and fire. It reminded me of the movie 2012, where a volcanic eruption in Yellowstone seemed very similar to my dream. The dream repeated, and both times we were in imminent danger. Then it began to repeat a third time; only this time, my friend seemed confident that we would make it out safely before the mountain blew up. We knew what was going to happen because we had been through it twice before. But I worried that we wouldn’t get out in time because it was already half-past two, and I remembered that the mountain had exploded at 1:30 in the two previous dreams. My friend seemed calm, almost as though he was dragging his feet while I tried to hurry him along. At one point, he parked the car in a position where I knew a falling, fiery piece of the mountain was going to land, but he got out of the car and told me to wait there. I kept my eye on the mountain the entire time. When he returned, we drove around to the other side while watching it flare-up for the third time. I could see fire erupting as the top of the mountain heaved and groaned, signaling it was getting ready to blow. When it exploded, we were already on the other side and didn’t feel any impact. All the force of the explosion came out the other side, and we were completely safe.   I decided to copy the dream from my 2009 journal to my 2020 journal. Since I keep my journals on my computer, it was easy to do. This is important to note because of the unusual way the Lord highlighted this dream a few days ago when I turned on YouTube and watched Chris Reed deliver prophetic words in his church. I had seen him at a conference recently and was impressed with his strong prophetic gift. He could read people’s mail at a very high level, and I felt drawn to watch the video for a few minutes. He prophesied over a few people in the church, and then he had a message for someone who had been keeping a diary or journal. He mentioned two pages from a diary/journal that were significant, page 37 and page 17.   I’ve been keeping journals for years and decided to see what I wrote on those days. Chris’s video was from December 2020, so I turned to my 2020 journal and found both pages and two paragraphs that stood out to me. One of the entries was more personal, but the entry on page 17 was a recent word the Lord had given me about the 2009 exploding mountain dream. The following is my entry from page 17:   Hushabye Mountain I keep hearing a song in my spirit from an old Disney movie, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, called Hushabye Mountain. I believe we’re supposed to pray that this explosive mountain, quiet down, and sing it to sleep. Whatever the enemy is trying to do, it will backfire, just like the mountain exploding on the other side as we drove safely away. Our nation has been on the verge of war since Trump came on the political scene. The deep state has been trying to destroy and impeach him and regain control. The pandemic has emboldened the left, and the mountain is getting ready to explode.   This mountain is already starting to erupt. One day it will backfire against all that the enemy is trying to accomplish. But for now, I hear the Lord saying, “Sing it to sleep.” Sometimes God’s strategy is so simple that we can overlook or ignore it, but scripture confirms that great power is released when we sing! Read Acts 16:25-26:   “But at midnight, Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were loosed.”   When you see demonically inspired riots, destruction, killing and bloodshed breaking out in your cities, do as David did, “So it came about whenever the evil spirit from God came to Saul, David would take the harp and play it with his hand; and Saul would feel relieved and become well, and the evil spirit would leave him.” 1 Samuel 16:23.   Your prayers and songs have great authority! Sing songs, play instruments and pray over this mighty government mountain. These are powerful weapons to add to your arsinol and they will calm this mountain down.   Hushabye Mountain is a lullaby; a quiet, gentle song meant to send a child to sleep. I suggest adding a lullaby as you worship and pray.

So close your eyes on Hushabye Mountain, Wave goodbye to cares of the day, And watch your boat from Hushabye Mountain Sail far away from Lullaby Bay.
